Meeting between General Director of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve, Mr. Lubomyr Mykhailyna, President of the Geo Routes Cultural Institute of Greece, Mr. Giannis Balakakis, and Director of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences
On September 25, 2015 General Director of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve, Mr. Lubomyr Mykhaylyna held the meeting with the President of the Geo Routes Cultural Institute of Greece, Mr. Giannis Balakakis who was on a working visit in Kyiv. Among other participants of the talks there were Mr. Volodymyr Vasynyuk, Director of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and chiefs of the scientific sections of the Academy.
The sides have discussed the prospects of the implementation of the Ukrainian-Greek youth project proposed by the General Director of NKPHCP as one of the areas of cooperation of the Preserve with the Geo Routes Cultural Institute of Greece.
The representatives of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine introduced the concept of Ukraine-Greece project "UNESCO World Heritage as the Subject of Youth Responsibility Through Knowledge, Preservation and Action" worked out to continue similarly-named national initiative launched two years ago by the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve, the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and "KROK" University.
The sides discussed the details of the project and developed the Roadmap of its further implementation. Besides, the Ukrainian side has stressed the importance of involving new Greek partners into the bilateral project and the role of the Geo Routes Cultural Institute of Greece in this matter.
