The project “90 Years. Moments Of History” will show the attractions of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra over several eras, highlight the history of the Preserve’s creation and operation, and present its founders and remarkable events taking place here.

The National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve joined International Museum Week in the Twitter social network under #MuseumWeek, which was held from March 28 till April 3 2016. Every single day you learned information about the unknown aspects of museum life at the Preserve.

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of granting the National status to Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve! We have been entrusted with a solemn and responsible mission – to ensure reliable preservation of the cultural heritage of our people and hand invaluable treasures over to the future generations.
The event included presentation of literary materials Wreath to Taras Shevchenko in Different Languages of the World from the funds of the National Historical Library Ukraine on the first floor of the Cathedral of the Dormition Bell Tower, as well as the thematic exhibition Shevchenko as a Prophet of the State Agency of Ukrainian Culture Promotion, which was held at the UN in Geneva and the Council of Europe in Brussels.
