Did you know that the corner column of the arcade gallery at the entrance to the All Saints Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is slightly inclined?

During the restoration of 1957–1959, architects considered the possibility of rebuilding the column. However, at that time the ground under the structure has been already settled, and the deformation did not progress. Since the corner column has not been under a significant load, and the threat of collapse was eliminated, it was decided to leave this element of the gallery unchanged. This arcade column has been preserved till our days.
