Velykodnia Kraina Unveiled At The Preserve

The Velykodnia Kraina (Easter Country) holiday fair was opened at the Kyiv National Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve on May 1, 2016.
Velykodnia Kraina offers children a maze of obstacles and interactive challenges, traditional Easter games and competitions. Both children and adults have the opportunity to decorate the Easter tree with self-made Pysanky (painted Easter eggs).
The feature of this year's celebration of Easter at the Preserve was the presentation of the Diamond Pysanka decorated with tiny reflecting particles in a mosaic technique. It is 3.5 metres high, and each particle is 4x4 cm in size. The creation of the Diamond Pysanka required 16,000 reflecting particles.
Velykodnia Kraina has already welcomed its first guests, who shared their impressions in the guestbook. During the Easter holidays the Kyiv National Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve offers cultural rest for the whole family. So we would like to invite you to celebrate the Easter holidays at the museum complex! You can visit Velykodnia Kraina until June 20, 2016.
