Kyiv-Pechersk Curiosities
Did you know that
in 1934, the “Workshop of Relics” was opened in the Far Caves for visitors to the State Historical and Cultural Preserve “All-Ukrainian Museum Town”, which operated on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery. Due to the directives of the totalitarian Bolshevik government to carry out militant anti-religious propaganda in museums, museum workers were forced to tell tourists how “monks fabricated and dried relics” on the example of this exposition object.
