The National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve is preparing for Easter

The National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve is preparing for Easter, one of the greatest Christian holidays. Land improvement works and completion works on architectural monuments are being carried out. Employees are preparing for the opening of the festive Velykodnia Kraina (Easter Country) at the Lavra. A maze of obstacles is being set up for children. An Easter tree is being created, which everyone will be able to decorate with self-made painted Easter eggs.

On April 18, 2016, on the International Day of Monuments and Sites and the Day of Monuments of History and Culture of Ukraine, the National Kyiv Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve, in cooperation with the State Agency for Promotion of Culture of Ukraine, presented an exhibition by the Ukrainian artist and Candidate of Art Lesia Maidanets “Velykodni Dzvony” (Easter bells), as well as master classes on Easter eggs painting and engraving.




Japanese cherry – Sakura blossoms are to found in the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve. Sakura blossom for most of the world is, perhaps, the most expected event in spring.
