Today you will see the series of photos dedicated to the Metal and Stone Department of the Lavra Museum of Cults and Life (part of the All-Ukrainian Museum Town) date from the 1920s - early 1930s. The department was headed by Petro Kurinny, the Director of the Museum.

The metal and stone collection contained various artifacts from the history of precious metals and stones, samples of the Kyivan Rus period, works of Ukrainian masters of the 17th-18th centuries, mostly church supplies of European (Gdansk, Augsburg, Nuremberg, Wroclaw, and Riga) as well as Moscow production. Samples of cypress carvings, bone products and engraved glass were also stored and exhibited in the Department. Items from the sacristy of the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra composed an important part of the collection. The exposition itself located in the choirs of the Annunciation Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
