DEAR COLLEAGUES!

We invite you to participate in the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Museums and Restoration in the Context of Cultural Heritage Preservation: Present Day Challenges”, which is scheduled to be held on June 11-12, 2020 at the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve (9 Lavrska Str., Kyiv, 01015).

Thematic directions of the conference:

• Restoration and preservation of cultural heritage

• Museology and conservation of historical and cultural monuments

• Study, examination and attribution of works of art

• Collecting and gallery activities

• Public administration and public policy in the field of cultural heritage protection

• Training of specialists in museology, expertise and restoration

 

Experts of the scientific and research institutes, museum institutions, restoration centers, universities as well as post-graduate students, doctor’s degree candidates and higher educational establishment students of the relevant specialties (their works being co-authored with their research advisers) are invited to participate in the Conference.

The Conference is planned to be held in face-to-face participation mode.

Materials of the Conference will be published in a separate collection of scientific articles prior to the event.

Requirements for the Conference Publication

The authors of the articles-participants of the Conference submit their own, previously unpublished materials that meet the thematic scope of the Forum in Ukrainian or English. Researchers from other countries may use their own languages (using Cyrillic or Latin type font). The basic requirements for the texts are their scientific novelty, rationale and originality.

Authors submit:

1. Their private data (first name, last name, scientific degree, academic title (if any), place of work and job title, contact information for the feedback link and title of the article) in a separate file:

2. The text of the article (in a separate file) its maximum length being 12 000 characters (including spaces), which has DOC format (Microsoft Office Word), “Times New Roman” typeface (font size – 14) and line spacing - 1.5. Paragraph indentions should be formatted without tab use. In case additional fonts are planned to be used, the author should submit the materials in separate files.

3. Illustrative material (if any) should be submitted in individual numbered files in tiff or jpeg (300 dpi) formats. The links to the illustrations should also be placed in the text. The numbered list of captions should be placed after the text of the article and a list of sources and literature (see paragraph 4). The tables with their headers should be placed directly in the text or also submitted in separate files.

4. The list of cited references and literature is a must. It has to be provided in the end of the article and reflect the order of the references in the text. Please do not use automatic numbering. References to cited sources and literature should be put in square brackets and sequential numbering in the text (e.g. [4, 25], where 4 is the serial number in the list and 25 is the page number).

We kindly ask you to respect the deadlines and the requirements of the text presentation.

The editorial board reserves the right to edit the materials (literary-technical editing and correction) and accomplish their selective publication in accordance with the scientific importance of the materials and adherence of the authors to the above mentioned rules.

The authors are responsible for the authenticity of the facts presented, the completeness and full covering of the issues under research, the writing of proper nouns and geographical names, references to the sources and literature.

Travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the sending organization.
