The Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day is celebrated in Kyiv by a series of commemorative events at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (the Independence Square), Khreshchatyk Street and Heavenly Hundred Heroes Avenue. National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve joins the commemoration of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, who tragically died in February 2014, defending the ideals of democracy, standing up for human rights and freedoms and the European future of Ukraine.
